THE DUNPHY FAMILY
The Dunphy’s represent the customary white mother and father family. They display the daily struggles and miscommunications of modern families.
Haley and Alex (the two daughters of Claire and Phil) are constantly getting in disagreements due to their different lifestyles, although as they age they are seen getting along a little more as they are both maturing.
Claire Dunphy- Mother
Claire is the mother of the three children. She is a stay at home mom who is constantly running errands and is quite stressed because of her life at home.
Phil Dunphy- Father
Phil is Claire's husband and is known as the jokester of the family. He works as a real-estate agent and is always looking for something to do to keep him occupied, along with taking care of the kids.
Haley Dunphy
Haley plays the role of the troublesome teenager. She is the popular, social media obsessed teen who is constantly involved with boys/ a relationship.
Alex Dunphy
Alex is known to be the wise, dorky child who is very involved in extra-curricular activities and isn’t too focussed on a social life.
Luke Dunphy
Luke is a spirited, somewhat unintelligent boy who often gets himself into trouble by making senseless mistakes. Luke is the only boy of the Dunphy kids as well as the youngest and he often finds this challenging as he has no one to turn to.
